Ben Wineman

Ben Wineman is a Principal and Managing Broker at Mid-America Real Estate Corporation, where he co-leads Mid-America’s Investment Sales Group, focusing solely on the disposition of retail properties. Together with his partners, Ben has been involved in a transaction volume of over $13 billion since 2001.

Mr. Wineman has 27 years of commercial real estate experience. Ben has worked on a variety of successful sale assignments throughout the United States on behalf of a range of institutional, public REITs, and private clients including Blackstone/Shopcore, Brixmor, CBRE Global Investors, Chase Properties, Clark Street Real Estate, CW Capital, DRA Advisors, DLC Management, Echo Realty, Equity Investment Group, Federal Realty, Heitman, Inland, Invesco, JP Morgan Asset Management, Kimco Realty Trust, LaSalle Investment Management, Lormax-Stern Development, Newport Capital Partners, Pace Properties, Pine Tree, RCG Ventures, RED Development, RPT Realty, Sansone Group, Schostak Brothers, SITE Centers, Situs, The Cafaro Company, The DESCO Group, Time Equities, and VEREIT. Prior to joining Mid-America in 2001, Mr. Wineman worked as a financial analyst with LaSalle Investment Management since 1998. As part of LaSalle’s Private Equity Acquisitions Group, he was responsible for the underwriting, valuation, due diligence, and closing of real estate acquisitions on behalf of institutional investors.

A graduate of DePauw University, Mr. Wineman earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree with a major in History. He is a licensed broker in Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, and Pennsylvania. As a member of ICSC, Ben serves on the Illinois State Committee and the National Government Relations Economic Policy Sub-Committee. Within the community, Ben serves on the Executive Committee of the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation Board, and a member of the Ravinia Festival family, including service as the President of the Ravinia Associates Board and past Ravinia Festival Trustee (2017-19).
