Teams from Marquette University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign took home top honors at the ninth annual Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation Real Estate Challenge for their proposals to redevelop a vacant 11.7-acre big box space at the Chicago Ridge Mall.
In this year’s Midwest Real Estate Challenge, the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation is partnering with Starwood Retail Partners to engage real estate students in redeveloping an 11.7-acre site attached to the Chicago Ridge Mall. The 154,000-square-foot department store box, now vacant and awaiting redevelopment, formerly housed a Carson’s.
