The Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation is committed to embracing life’s challenges through gastrointestinal cancer research and education.
In partnership with the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, we fund breakthrough gastrointestinal (GI) cancer research. Together, we aim to advance cancer medicine and increase survivorship by fighting cancers of the esophagus, liver, pancreas, stomach, intestines, gallbladder, colon, and rectum

Harold Eisenberg inspired many in his life, both personally and professionally. His devotion to his family and his work was an inspiration to everyone who knew him. He was a loving husband to Sheila and a dedicated father to Peter, Scott and Lesley. As a leader in real estate, he believed in sharing his knowledge and experience to enrich and empower students.
In early 1999, Hal passed away suddenly from liver and pancreatic cancers. Shortly after, his friends and family established the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation to fight the cancers that took his life and continue his legacy as a mentor, leader, and educator in the commercial real estate industry.
This year, as we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation, we continue to honor Hal, while recognizing the thousands of volunteers, students, mentors and staff that have supported the Foundation.
We rely upon the time and generosity of our volunteers, corporate partners and individual donors to fund cutting-edge cancer research and real estate education programs.
