The Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation’s Associate Board held its fifth annual EISENOPOLY event on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the Walnut Room at Macy’s on State Street to raise money for gastrointestinal cancer research at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University.
The event centered around fast-paced, tournament-style Monopoly games played by attendees on customized boards bearing the names of sponsors. It began with a cocktail hour and passed appetizers, followed with heavy hors d’oeuvres from Wow Boa and One Eleven Catering. . As attendees competed against each other throughout the night to win fabulous prizes, there was an open bar, desserts, a DJ, a silent auction and a photo booth. The official after-party of EISENOPOLY was held at Public House.
“EISENOPOLY has sold out for the past three years and this year was no exception. This is the party of the winter,’” said Jeff Cohen, Associate Board member and Co-Chair of EISENOPOLY. “With over 450 people in attendance, we raised nearly $100,000 to fight gastrointestinal cancer.”
The Presenting Event Sponsor of EISENOPOLY was Cushman & Wakefield and Event Co-Sponsors were @properties, Albrecht Enterprises, Becker Gurian, Carpet Group, Clark Street Development, Cooper Callaway, NARE, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, and Perillo BMW. Wow Bao was the Food Sponsor, Lagunitas Brewing Company was the Beer Sponsor, Wente Vineyards was the Wine Sponsor and CS Magazine was the Media Sponsor.
