On October 2, 2012, the Foundation hosted its SOLD OUT 14th Annual Dinner. Over 550 guests joined us at the Standard Club in Chicago for an evening of food, friends and fun. The night began with a cocktail hour where guests enjoyed the opportunity to socialize and connect before heading up to a delicious gourmet dinner followed by a networking dessert.
The best part? The Annual Dinner raised almost $250,000 and proceeds go towards the Foundation’s programs in gastrointestinal cancer research and real estate education.
Highlights from this year’s dinner included a HEEF Faculty Education award, presented to Marquette University’s Andrew Hunt for all he does to promote real estate education, the announcement of our 2012 scholarship recipient, Thomas McGovern, the presentation of the ICSC Scholarship to Ryan Holzhauer, the presentation of a very large trophy to our HEEF Midwest Real Estate Challenge winners from Marquette, and the debut of our new video. The dinner also featured an exciting MINI Cooper raffle and a silent auction.
The Annual Dinner is our most significant fundraiser. We depend on it to fund our programs. Because of the overwhelming support of the real estate community, we had the most successful dinner in the Foundation’s history. Thanks to you, it is going to be a very good year.
